About

Hey Everyone!

My Name is Lesley Grimes and I’m the author here at “Coffee Stains and Stilettos.” I was born and raised in the hill country of North East Texas…translation: I am fiercely loyal, passionate (my hubby would say stubborn) and I prefer the sounds of cows in a pasture over the sounds of a city. I am a self-proclaimed discount freak and coffee connoisseur. I blast rap music and dance as if I can! I will never turn down chocolate…NEVER! I wear many hats but those I’m most proud of are “Wife” and “Mama.” I love Jesus most and my hubby second! My four children are my greatest treasures although I sometimes hide from them in my closet lol!

You will find me most days with a baby on the hip, cleaning utensil in hand, running around my house while spouting off algebraic equations for my teenagers. It’s the beautifully, chaotic season of life I’m in and I wouldn’t change a thing.

I am a Christ follower and the church is quiet literally my home away from home. I love the global church and it’s an honor to be part of it. I am married into a Hispanic family, which I am very proud of and twenty years into this adventure, I am still meeting my husband’s cousins…true story! I married right out of highschool and started having babies at twenty years old so although I’m not over the hill just yet, I still feel that I have quiet a bit of life under my belt. There is much to learn and so much life to live but for nearly two decades, I have tried to balance everyday chores, ministry and job ventures all while keeping my sanity. It hasn’t always been easy but there have been so many sweet moments tucked away in the craziness.

The complexity of the seasons in a woman’s life can be hard to navigate and girls, we need each other! So, for the single lady, stay at home mom, boss babe and everyone in between, here’s my advice, two cents or whatever you choose to call it. I hope it blesses, encourages, challenges and champions you.
